Registration Instructions

IMPORTANT:

AYF/AYC registration is done through National Sports ID (NSID) NOT Sports Connect. DO NOT LOGIN to your Sports Connect account to attempt to register.

To register, please follow the correct registration link below (football or cheer). It's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you register on a computer, not on a smartphone.


VERY IMPORTANT:

You must register your athlete(s) to the appropriate division based on their age as of July 31, 2025, as defined by the chart included in this email. If you register for the incorrect division there may no longer be a spot on the correct team in which case your athlete will be on the wait list. If your athlete’s division is no longer on the division list, then please go to “click to join wait list” on that page and fill out the information to be put on that division's wait list.

 

If you register after our division roster size has been met and have signed up for the wait list, you will be notified by the Secretary of Plainville Colt’s Football & Cheer that your athlete is on the wait list. Additional wait list information will be provided at that time.

Below are detailed instructions on how to register and get your athlete(s) verified:

 

Step 1:  Click on Football or Cheer Registration link (provided below)

Step 2: Create on new account to register

Step 3: Check “I am a parent.” and click “next step”

Step 4: Enter player’s name and date of birth

Step 5: Click Add child

Step 6: Click Submit as a new player

Step 7: If you have multiple athletes, please follow steps 4-6.

Step 8: Click next

Step 9: Complete parent information

Step 10: Input Email and Create password

Step 11: Are you a coach/admin - click “no”

Step 12: Add mobile number(s)

Step 13: Click “I'm not a robot” and accept terms and conditions, then register.

 

Important

Step 14: Go back to the registration link  and click on the appropriate link for the athlete(s) that you are registering (Football or Cheer). Do not sign in with your credentials as prompted.  Scroll down to fill in information.

Step 15: Once on Registration page Select How Many Players.

Step 16: Choose your child (Remember if you have both football and cheer athletes you will have to register them through separate links).

Step 17: 
Add player division



Step 18: Complete player & parent info (if not already filled in)

Step 19: 
Click continue

Step 20: Click on Proceed to Checkout

Step 21: Enter billing and payment info

Note: You may pay a 50% deposit or in full. If you pay the deposit, the remaining 50% will automatically be charged in 30 days.

Step 22: Click “Pay Now”

 

You are now registered and will be prompted to begin the verification process for your athlete(s).

Information required for verification:

 

1. A recent head shot of your athlete with no objects in the background and no hat or sunglasses on.

2. Identity document(s) - birth certificate or passport are acceptable

3. School document - most recent report card with all information listed (Athlete’s name, School name, Grade, etc.)

4. Sign Plainville waiver - electronically sign

5. Payment - there is a $5 fee for processing verification, provide payment info here (please note there are advertisements on this page that need to be marked either “yes” or “no” otherwise it will not let you proceed)

6. Medical Clearance Form

7. 2024-2025 Final Report Card (this can be added at a later date)

 

All information must be uploaded and completed by June 30, 2025.

 

Once those forms are received, National Sports ID will take the necessary steps required to verify your athlete and you will be required to review and complete the AYF/AYC player packet (this area will require insurance and doctor information).
